Beckel Canvas Products, which manufactures high-quality camping tents has been in business since 1964. Bob Beckel began sewing parachutes while in the Air Force, and after the war began making tents for Volkswagen. The majority of Beckel's customers are still dedicated hunters and campers in search of durable gear, but they’ ve discovered a new following with clients like the ACE Hotel , who want to collaborate with local manufacturers and appreciate the quality of Beckel’ s manufacturing and old-school aesthetic. They’ ve also collaborated with local brands like Danner Boots

Beckel Canvas Products は、1964 年 Bob Beckel( ボブ・ベッケル ) 氏によって アメリカオレゴン州のポートランドにて高品質のキャンプ用テント製造事業を目的として 立ち上げられたブランドです。ボブ・ベッケル氏は、アメリカ空軍でパラシュートの縫製の技術を 習得しテントに用いることを考えました。Beckel の顧客の大部分は耐久性のあるギアを求めるハンターやキャンパーですが その技術と製品の耐久性などの観点から多くの企業から製作オファーが絶えません。 自動車メーカーのフォルクスワーゲンや有名な Ace Hotel、アメリカのアウトドアブーツの 定番として愛され続ける Danner Boots など、多くの会社より依頼を受けてきました。 

A blueprint of a letterpress machine designed in the 1970s in the UK was hand framed by a domestic craftsman. The hand drawing blueprint with a width of more than 1M are drawn very precisely, and the time of the designer at that time is engraved on each sheet. Walnut wood framed would increase its value over the years.

1970年代に英国で設計されたレタープレスマシーンの設計図を、国内の職人技術を用いて額装しました。横幅1Mを超えるハンドドローイングの図面はとても緻密に描かれており、当時の設計者の技術と時間が一枚一枚に刻みこまれています。また、額装の木材にはウォールナットを使用しており、時間の経過と共に価値を高めてくれる一品となっております。

This is a pendant light made from a shaded part of the light used by the Czech army and an original design socket & cord. 
The lampshade is Olive drab-colored and features rust, small scratches and  a used atmosphere that have been carved after many years of use.
For the joint between the shade and the socket cord, we have developed an original bracket with a rugged and industrial taste in Japan, and finished it in a design that further enhances its long history. 

チェコ軍で実際に使用されていたライトのシェード部分に、オリジナルデザインのソケットとコードを取りつけたペンダントライトです。シェードはオリーブドラブカラーで、長年の使用で刻まれた錆や小傷、ユーズドならではの雰囲気があるのも特徴的です。
シェードとソケットコードの接合部分には、日本国内にて無骨でインダストリアルなテイストを施したオリジナルブラケットを開発し、長い歴史を一層引き立たせるデザインに仕上げています。
