400 年以上の歴史を持つ日本の伝統芸能「歌舞伎」。それは芝居、踊り、音楽の3 要素を全て含む総合芸術である。
当時、世間の常識に囚われず、流行の最先端をいく奇抜なファッションで世間を楽しませた「かぶきもの」の扮装を真似て演じたのがルーツと言われる。
お上に頼らず、市井の人々が育てたこの芸能にリスペクトをささげ、伝統を感じながらも「新しい」香りに仕上げる。
檜舞台のイメージをトップノートとしてパイン（松）、ベルガモット、そしてセダーウッドで表現し、演舞、音楽の華やかさをローズ、ガーデニア、ミュゲ（スズラン）のフローラルノートで表現。
ラストは歌舞伎の演目にもなっているお香のように、重厚なサンダルウッド、ムスク、アンバー等で創り上げた香りである。
